Reportage Photographer with an eye for what matters
Reportage means looking closely, not staging. I accompany people, projects and places for hours or days and tell in pictures what really happens there – for annual reports, magazines, campaigns by state authorities and associations, for foundations and companies that want to show their work instead of just claiming it.
Among others, this has resulted in reportages for Saxony’s Commissioner for Inclusion, for cultural projects in Kamenz and for companies from Dresden to Schwerin. The photos work individually as lead images and as a series in print.
Process
How it works.
-
Research
Who, where, why – first I understand the story, then I photograph it. Short initial conversation, schedule, protagonists.
-
Coverage
Half a day, a full day or several dates over weeks. I stay in the background until situations become real.
-
Photo series
You get an edited series with a lead image, detail shots and portraits – with captions on request.

Questions about Reportage Photography
How is reportage different from event photography?
Event photography documents an event as completely as possible. Reportage tells a story – with selection, narrative and time for the quiet moments. Reportage is often the better format for annual reports, magazines and campaigns.
Can you also provide texts or captions?
I’m happy to provide captions with names, roles and context. For longer texts I work with experienced journalists from Dresden.
How much does a photo reportage cost in Dresden and Saxony?
I charge reportages by the hour (€160 net) or as a flat rate: half day (up to 4 hours) €590 net, day rate (up to 8 hours) €1,150 net – each including selection, editing and delivery of the photos, plus travel costs. Multi-day projects are calculated as a package. All prices net, plus 19% VAT.
