Reportage Photography in Meissen – how I work

Reportages in Meissen: Craftsmanship, winegrowing and manufactory work in Meissen are ideal reportage subjects – I accompany work processes over a day or a season.

Meissen is half an hour down the Elbe from my studio – travel included for most assignments. For multi-day reportages in Meissen, I schedule sessions to cover different times of day and situations.

Reportage means looking closely, not staging. I accompany people, projects and places for hours or days and tell in pictures what really happens there – for annual reports, magazines, campaigns by state authorities and associations, for foundations and companies that want to show their work instead of just claiming it.

Among others, this has resulted in reportages for Saxony’s Commissioner for Inclusion, for cultural projects in Kamenz and for companies from Dresden to Schwerin. The photos work individually as lead images and as a series in print.

Half a day, a full day or several dates over weeks. I stay in the background until situations become real.

  3. Photo series

You get an edited series with a lead image, detail shots and portraits – with captions on request.
