Reportage Photography in Bautzen – how I work

Reportages in Bautzen: For associations, municipalities and companies in Bautzen and Upper Lusatia I photograph reportages about people, craftsmanship and regional projects.

Bautzen is just under an hour from my studio in Dresden – I photograph regularly in Upper Lusatia. For multi-day reportages in Bautzen, I schedule sessions to cover different times of day and situations.

Reportage means looking closely, not staging. I accompany people, projects and places for hours or days and tell in pictures what really happens there – for annual reports, magazines, campaigns by state authorities and associations, for foundations and companies that want to show their work instead of just claiming it.

Among others, this has resulted in reportages for Saxony’s Commissioner for Inclusion, for cultural projects in Kamenz and for companies from Dresden to Schwerin. The photos work individually as lead images and as a series in print.
