Reportage Photography in Hoyerswerda – how I work
Reportages in Hoyerswerda: Structural change, construction projects, club life, everyday life in Lusatia: for municipalities, associations and companies in Hoyerswerda I document projects over longer periods – for annual reports, press and public relations.
Hoyerswerda is a good hour from my studio in Dresden – I’m regularly on the road in Lusatia, often with several appointments in one day. For multi-day reportages in Hoyerswerda, I schedule sessions to cover different times of day and situations.
Reportage means looking closely, not staging. I accompany people, projects and places for hours or days and tell in pictures what really happens there – for annual reports, magazines, campaigns by state authorities and associations, for foundations and companies that want to show their work instead of just claiming it.
Among others, this has resulted in reportages for Saxony’s Commissioner for Inclusion, for cultural projects in Kamenz and for companies from Dresden to Schwerin. The photos work individually as lead images and as a series in print.
